“Resistance could become the biggest health threat”

The Foundation to Prevent Antibiotic Resistance, a foundation initiated by BioGaia, argues in a debate article published in one of the major Swedish daily newspapers today that the fight against antibiotic resistance needs to change. There is a need for a sharp increase in focus on preventive measures and a broader responsibility, where individuals and the private sector are also mobilized. It is also necessary that the work with antibiotic resistance is done on an international level.

Today, 18 November, World Antimicrobial Awareness Week launches a global campaign to raise awareness of the problem of antibiotic resistance.
