ESPGHAN 2017

Every year ESPGHAN (The European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition) attracts pediatricians from across Europe and all five continents, making it the largest conference of its kind worldwide.

BioGaia was silver sponsor of this year’s event, the 50th Annual Meeting of ESPGHAN, held in Prague, 10-13 May 2017.

11 May the congress started and for BioGaia it was a real kick-start with the morning symposium Brilliant Minds Studio. This year’s theme was ”New perspectives on L. reuteri in child health – evolution, clinical evidence and beyond”. Once again the studio was hosted by Prof Michael D Cabana, Biostatistics & Epidemiology University of California, who had Prof Jens Walter, Prof Wofgang Kunze, Prof Hania Szajewska and Dr Flavia Indrio as guests. The symposium attracted some 250 participants and was highly appreciated by the attendees.

During ESPGHAN BioGaia also participated with a booth and there was a large interest in our products and clinical studies with Lactobacillus reuteri.
